Who are Dun & Bradstreet Country Risk Services?

Dun & Bradstreet Country Risk Services

As one of the world’s first truly global companies, Dun & Bradstreet has for many years been active in providing information to customers engaged in cross-border transactions. Our world-wide network of branches and affiliates allow us to easily provide information on the creditworthiness of individual enterprises outside the country of the enquirer. This information has proved invaluable both for exporters seeking to assess the payment capabilities of importers and for investors wishing to evaluate the suitability of business partners abroad. However, while importers and local investment partners may initially be both willing and able to fulfil their obligations, they may not do so owing to adverse developments in the risk environment of the country in which they reside. Furthermore, the expected returns from doing business in a particular country are frequently hostage to country-wide developments that go beyond the intrinsic merits of any individual project.

As such, Dun & Bradstreet established Country Risk Services (formerly known as the Economic Analysis Group) in the 1980s. The Group’s mission was to provide a country risk overlay to complement the credit risk information provided by our traditional company reports and facilitate the comparison of economic, political and commercial conditions across countries around the globe.

The products and services produced by the group are compiled by a team of highly skilled analysts using exclusive data from Dun & Bradstreet’s global network of reporting offices and from Dun & Bradstreet’s database of over 100 million company records world-wide.
